There’s something special about golf in Grand Forks. It’s the way a course brings people together, the easy conversations between holes, and the mix of competition and camaraderie. This summer, that spirit is fueling something even bigger: the Grand Forks Children’s Museum Golf Outing…a community‑driven fundraiser supporting the museum’s capital campaign.
For those of us who love the game, this event is a perfect blend of joy and purpose. It’s a chance to spend a day outside, surrounded by friends, neighbors, and supporters who believe in what the museum will bring to our region. Every swing, every putt, every shared laugh helps move the project forward, from steel beams rising on the site to the exhibits that will soon inspire thousands of children.
This year’s outing is already shaping up to be something special. A growing number of local businesses have stepped up to sponsor holes across the course, showing just how deeply our community believes in creating a place where curiosity thrives and imagination has room to grow.

We’re grateful to the UND Alumni Association & Foundation, Roto Group, Knox News Radio, Sterling Carpet One, Absolute Glass Window Cleaning, Alerus Financial, Vigen Construction, PCL Construction and Community Contractors, Inc., Bell Bank, FPN Gaming, Old National Bank, Valley Petroleum, US Bank, and Forks Wellness for their generous support and sponsorship. Their commitment doesn’t just make the event possible, it strengthens the foundation of the museum itself. And we’re equally grateful to the many additional donors and businesses who have contributed silent‑auction items, each one adding excitement and momentum to the day. Thank you all for your generosity and for believing in what this museum will bring to our community.

Golfers will tee off on July 30 at the Grand Forks Country Club, with a shotgun start at 11 a.m. The day will include contests and prizes (closest to the hole, longest drive, and other friendly challenges) adding a little extra fun to an already meaningful event. The real winner, of course, is the museum and the families it will serve for generations.
Whether you’re a seasoned golfer or someone who simply loves the mission, this fundraiser is a chance to be part of something lasting. It’s a day of play that helps create a future of play. More importantly, it’s a celebration of the strength, generosity, and shared purpose that define this community.
The course is ready. The community is ready. With every drive, every donation, and every sponsored hole, we’re one step closer to opening the doors of the Grand Forks Children’s Museum.
