A Sense of Abundance

Every once in a while, a moment arrives that reminds us what abundance truly looks like. Not abundance in the sense of “more things” or a “bigger house” but abundance in the sense of...
More possibility,
More generosity,
More belief,
More people joining in because they want to be part of a mission
that lifts a community.

That’s what the Grand Forks Children’s Museum has become: a living example of abundance.
It shows up in the parents who drive past the site and slow down, imagining the day their children will tug at their hands and run toward the doors.
It shows up in the grandparents who say, “I wish this had existed when my kids were young,” and then give, because they want our region’s children to have more.
It shows in the volunteers who give their time and the neighbors who give their encouragement.
It shows up in the teachers, artists, engineers, and dreamers who have shared ideas, offered expertise, and helped shape a museum that reflects the heart of Grand Forks.
Abundance truly shows in the extraordinary generosity of our donors, whose
leadership gifts have carried this project forward in ways that still take our breath away. Their support isn’t just measured in dollars; it’s measured in trust, in belief, in the willingness to invest in a future they may never personally use but deeply want for the next generation. Their abundance has become the foundation on which this museum is rising.

Abundance is the reason this project has never been just about a building. It’s about the abundance of curiosity in every child. The abundance of creativity in this community. The abundance of hope that rises when people decide to build something together. And it’s about the abundance of children envisioning a future that feels bigger, brighter, and more possible because this museum will exist.
Now, as equipment arrives onsite and the ground begins to shift, that sense of abundance feels almost tangible. You can stand at the edge of the property and sense what’s coming — the possibilities taking shape, the momentum building, the quiet power of what happens when a community believes in a shared dream.

The Grand Forks Children’s Museum is being built with abundance at its core — an abundance of imagination, opportunity, and love for all the children who will grow, learn, and discover inside its walls.
The beautiful part is this: the abundance isn’t slowing down. It’s growing.
